1929 Martin 2-17Gorgeous vintage Martin 1929 2-17 parlor guitar. Body is solid mahogany. Serial dates this guitar to 1929 according to Martin's records. There were only 25 2-17s sold in 1929 so this is an EXTREMELY rare model. Guitar shows wear consistent with age. Has two hairline cracks in the back, could be repaired by a luthier, BUT DO NOT EFFECT SOUND. Regular scuffs and scratches. Guitar had a neck set, and was set up to play by a local master luthier a few years ago. Set up for left handed player, but could easily put new strings for a right hand. BIG SOUND for a small package, as I am sure you already know if you are looking at this guitar. One of 25 sold in 1929. Guitar has a great, low action and is very easy to play, great for finger style. This guitar will only get better with age, and is an excellent investment for your collection. This era Martins are only getting more and more desirable. Thanks for looking and please see our store for more great deals and unique finds!
