Heres something you don't see everyday !1962 Gibson SG/LP Husk.I've had this for some time with the thoughts of putting it together & I just don't have the time or desire anymore.I believe it was an Ebony Block Vibrola model, as I can see a slight shadow from the block. The 3 screw holes are the vibrato, the other 2 may have been to hold on the block, as those came loose sometimes ( just an educated guess) When I got it, it had been routed for P-90's & the tune-o-matic replaced with a stud tailpiece ( looks like someone was trying to turn it in to a Townshend SG). Grovers had also been added. It has no breaks or repairs, but theres a very light crack ( or deep checking) that goes through 2 knobs, jack & back cavity. Not repaired, nor does it need to be.The guitar hadn't been in a case for a long time before I bought it, so there are lots of scratches, dings, bottom back finish wear etc. Lots of Character.I strung it up when I got it & its been strung until today. It plays AWESOME. Frets are still very good ( no attention needed), Neck is straight. Truss rod functions.Weighs about 4.2 lbs with no hardware.I'm including the P-90 large guard that came with it & a large Humbuck guard that I bought & modded at the bottom to be like the P-90 guard. Though not pictured, I'm also including the original back control cover & screws.The 5 digit s/n starting with 79 is intact, I just blurred it out.This guitar has TONS of possibilities ....P-90's, Humbucks, wraparound, tune-o-matic with Vibrola, Bigsby, lg guard or fill the holes & small guard again........etc etc etcNo case , but will be packed with the utmost attention to detail.
