This is an excellent condition Rare 2013 Reso-Phonic "Wocket" Wooden Rocket guitar. This mahogany laminate version has all the features of the very popular metal National Reso-Rocket, but with the extra warmth and growl that only wood provides. It is also obviously much lighter to hold than the all-metal version and very comfortable to play during full sets while standing. The "Wocket" designation is limited to a very, very few first production instruments. The legendary slide player, Steve James, refers to his original prototype (see and hear on YouTube) as the "Wocket", and the first few production models are marked on the inside label as "Wocket", but subsequent models do not carry this designation - a great addition for any collector! This is Wocket #5 with serial number #18630 and production date 3-13. The wood is absolutely mint, no dings or scratches on any wood surface. The metal resonator has some very light surface scratches (see photos) and one small area of very light patina on the metal surface which should buff out with some effort, if a shiny new surface appearance is desired. This is an awesome sounding guitar for slide, fingerstyle, or flatpicking where more clean, projected volume, either acoustic or amplified is required. Some specs as follow:Neck: Mahogany neck with ivoriod bound ebony fingerboard. Engraved pearloid headplate, with National shield logo. 25 inch scale length, 1.875 inch nut widthFrets: 12 medium-wide frets to the bodyBody: Mahogany laminate body, ivoroid binding top and back, in "Reso Rocket" design, weave sound holesFinish: Stain lacquer finish in a subtle sunburstHardware/electronics: National 9 1/2 inch resonator cone with nickel plated cover; nickel plated open, engraved strip tuners with ebony buttons, and National factory installed optional hotplate pickup system and tone/volume controlsPlayability/Action: Plays like a new National! An awesome feel, and set up for a mix of fingers and steelCase: National archtop hardshell case, mint condition, and all original National accessories included (see photos). No international shipping and no returns. Shipping within the US only and free shipping is included!!
