1956 AMERICAN Vintage Reissue, made in 2013. Transparent Blonde Nitro finish. Accurate relic job. The fretboard was left mostly unaltered. ..."mostly". It was thinned in the right places, so your fingers will wear through naturally, and create the real finger wear. The nitro is crackling just right, and looks really cool, as it should, on a good relic job. The bridge was replaced with a "Fender" modern string spacing bridge, because the vintage spec bridges cause the E strings to slip off the edge of the fretboard, on these vintage models....as well as having the vintage "wider gap" between each string. This bridge eliminates all those problems, and no alterations or modifications had to be done....it can be switched back, if you wish. Schaller strap locks installed, and aged with the other hardware. This guitar stays in tune VERY well....I am actually surprised how well it stays in tune. The factory pickguard and pickups and pots were replaced, with a loaded pickguard from 920d. The pickups are Klein S5 pickups. (John Mayer clones). They are soooooo responsive, and sound amazing! The bottom tone pot, is a push-push switch, that will turn the neck pickup on, in any position of the pickup switch.....which means there are numerous combinations, including, running all three pickups at once, and, running the neck and bridge together. The maple neck/fretboard is the 7.25 vintage radius...which I personally love! Nice fat V neck. The worn finish on the back of the neck, is smooth and fast. This guitar sings! It feels nice and broken in, like a genuine 1956 would. Comes with most of the case candy, including the whammy bar, and ashtray. Original factory tweed hardshell case included. The loaded pickguard was a $300.00 addition, so considering retail on the guitar was $2200.00.....this price is a deal! If you want a reliced guitar, that is done properly, on the proper vintage platform....this one is for you! Free shipping. No international sales. .....and no, the original pickguard and pickups, are NOT included. Immediate payment required. |
