Very rare (maybe unique) set of ATC SCM300 passive loudspeakers. These not only have a matching center channel, but use the larger ATC 4" voice coil 15" woofers. These are Hernia Class loudspeakers, the largest ATC ever made.The empty cabinets came out of a California studio (no info provided). They were completely disassembled, repainted, rewired, terminals repaired, acrylic stuffing re-netted, new or reconed NOS drivers installed. The grills are included as received, still needing some repair.
The ATC SB100-375SC is one of the finest 15" woofers ever made. All SC suffix ATC drivers are short coil design (underhung), yielding very low distortion. The standard models SCM150 and SCM300 use the 3" voice coil SB75-375SC.
The 2 center channel woofers are brand new from ATC. The 4 left and right woofers are NOS woofers that were in dry storage, but had degraded foam surrounds, so they were professionally reconed with new ATC coil kits.
The mids are the infamous 3" ATC SM75-150S super domes.
Newer model Audax 34mm TW034XO were used with original ATC front plates. These tweeters also have an underhung voice coil, low distortion and excellent dynamic capability needed to keep up with the rest of the system. This is a true 94dB soft dome/diaphragm system. Sweet.Available are 2- ATC EC23 crossovers, original equipment for this SCM300 system. These are stereo 3-way 24db/octave active balanced line professional units with adjustable phase and momentary gain reduction. Properly set up, they provide the system with flat, time-aligned frequency response, free from signal clipping and associated distortion. I have several crossovers to choose from, can discuss.I also will include a pair of custom made Hernia Class speaker stands over 40" tall. Never seen these in a brochure. (No idea what was used for the center speaker, maybe soffit mounted)Buyer will need to provide 12 channels of appropriate amplification. These need to be collected or professionally packed and palletized on site and shipped via truck at buyers expense. The left and right boxes are 36.5" wide x 35" tall x 19" deep and about 225 lbs (100kg+) each. The center box is 39.5" wide x 35" tall x 19" deep, also about 225 lbs (100kg).
