1957 Gretsch 6022 Rancher very cool & rare "G" Branded Cowboy guitar ! This is the cool sibling flat top guitar to the Holy Grail 6120 we all luv & cherish, just acquired by its 2nd owner for the last 43 years, Stephen Abbott,whom bought it for $100. at a Pawn Shop in Maine in 1973 & played it left handed for a few years & then retired it in its case, its Orange finish is still deep & rich w/very little fade, its spruce top & figured Maple back & sides are all crack free, its neck is full sized & quite comfy, it’s a 3rd year production run still retaining its “G” Brand logo on its top, Hump Top inlays & horseshoe headstock inlay, its Cowboy design incorporating its Triangular shaped sound hole & its Piano–like wooden bridge assembly was so far ahead of its time, still sporting its original open back Gold Tuners, only for some weather checking mostly on the spruce top & a replaced pickgard (original one is included), she is quite clean & maybe the best all original example to surface in years, exceptionally clean & comes with its original Gretsch Certificate & “OK’ quality control Blue Hang tag in its matching Gray speckled Hard Case.
