This is a NO RESERVE auction for 2014 Gibson Les Paul Signature Caribbean Blue. I first saw the Caribbean blue finish on a Les Paul Florentine in 2014. IT mimicked the Caribbean ocean…white sand beach, blue water with a cocktail on my hand…then the dream stopped dead when I saw the price $6000 price tag on the Florentine. Booo…that’s how that day dream ended that day! A few month later I came across another Caribbean Blue Les Paul, except it was within my reach so I snatched it right there and then. Oh boy, I am glad that I did. The color on this guitar is just amazing. Sometimes I stare at the guitar more so than playing. Truly mesmerizing blue and beautiful natural mahogany color contrast! Both volume pots are split coil switches. Usually, this is when I start saying ‘when you split the coil, the volume decreases and it loses its balls and the sound is half-a$$’, but not on this guitar. It has an active 15db boost. So when the coils are split with 15db turned on, it truly sounds like a single coil pickup. I cannot contest this since I’ve never owned P90 pickups, but my buddies have said that it sounds somewhat like P-90 pickups. I can however contest that coil split with db’ON’, with both picked up on: has a slight twang. You can do a lot with that twang, AND you forget this is a Gibson. Twang on Gibson Les Paul, who knew….. Another new experience for me was the mini-etune. This tunes itself, and not only it tunes itself, it tunes while it compensates for other springs. So individually, strings might be slight off, but played together sounds more in tune than if I was to individually tune the strings to perfect pitch. It took me awhile to figure this out. And of course, mini-etune can be programmed to give you perfect pitch for each string….then it defeats the opportunity to be able to tune all six strings with compensation. It will be yours to experiment. All in all, this is one fantastic guitar with lots of tonal varieties. This was purchased new in 2015, it’s been in my house and has never left the house, and hardly played, but mostly stared at. I got a job that requires me to travel all the time. Therefore, no more band, and no time to play. I kept the guitar thinking maybe I can play soon and it’s been 7 months since. So, I am selling it to another rightful owner that deserves this beautiful piece of art. This guitar needs to be appreciated. There are two dings, one can be seen in the photos, and the other one is on the next, but not photographable since it is very fade. Otherwise, it as new condition. I only noticed the ding in the photo as I was taking the photo. I must have been clumsy. Sorry! The package is 20.5”x8.5”x48” and weights 23 lbs. It will be shipped via USPS or other most economical options available and will SHIP INTERNATIONALLY. Payment is required within 24 hours of auction ends and will ship within 48 hours of cleared payment. PAYPAL preferred. This is a no reserve AS-IS auction and no return is offered. I am not a retail store, but just another private Ebayer. As can be seen in the photos, it is very clean and no damages to outside, some scratches (two mentioned above), and ALL switches and controls are functional like it is new. For International Bidders only: The cost of shipping will show up in this auction as long as you have logged in using your eBay profile with confirmed delivery address. The rate that you see there, will likely be the actual rate that I’ll be charging. Wait for an invoice from me before you make the payment. I’ll send it to you right after the auction ends. And of course, any duties and fees charged by the customs in your country is your responsibility. I’ll pay for the insurance at my cost. This guitar as well as my other auction items are being adverted locally and within my social circle. So, I reserve the right to end this auction at any time without any notice. Good Luck!
