GEM GENERALMUSIC CHALLENGER Transistor Organ (ca. 1975)- MADE IN ITALY- Super Rare- Super Good Conditon- incl. Stand + Cases- Vintage & Collectable- worldwide shipping• GEM ChallengerDas einmanualige italienische Modell von 1975 hat echte Zugriegel und die Tastaur hat einen extra Baßbereich. Das Klangangebot ist in Sinus- und Festregister unterteilt und auch Tastenklick, Chorus- und Vibratoeffekte sind an Bord. Rücklinks gibt es einen Leslieanschluß. Ein eigener Verstärker wurde in die Orgel eingebaut, sodaß man nur einen Lautsprecher anzuschließen braucht. Die Technik ist robuster und wartungsfreundlicher ausgelegt. Insgesamt klingt sie etwas fülliger aber auch verwaschener als die Vermona-Orgel, also recht anders. Sie bietet auch einige andere Effekte, die es nur hier gibt. Ich würde sagen, der Klang ist rockiger und wuchtiger, der der Vermona feiner und durchsetzungsfähiger.Die Orgel ist u.a. auf dem Album Desiderium zu hören bzw. etwas deutlicher auf dem Stück "Bericht an einen Auferstandenen" ("BF-Archive #4") und die speziellen Effekte sind bei dem Stück " A Cap Full Of Sleep, Part 2 (Remake)" (Best Of BF, Vol 1) gut zu hören. ChallengerNow we're getting somewhere! Multiple footages in multiple voices, drawbars, tremolo, bass sustain, and percussion! And look at that collection of creamy colors! Enough to forgive the excess of wood-grain laminate, I suppose. If I'm interpreting the "Legato" tab correctly, it even has multiple-triggering percussion! Hey, Hammond - get a clue! (well, I'm probably about 45 years too late with THAT advice.) NEW Normally, the bass section is restricted to just that - no switch to extend the treble section downward. But apparently when a set of bass pedals is plugged in, the bass keyboard section is automatically switched to do just that - neat! (thanks to A.W. for that tidbit). It also has a separate Bass output jack, which can be handy.
