Up for auction is a 16X16 Reference Pure floor tom from Pearl Light weight, big fat tone, easy tuning… This floor tom was never played and is in mint condition. The color is #334 Red Metallic. It has a gold pearl metal flake in the paint and it looks spectacular, just the right amount. Unfortunately it doesn’t show up well in the pics. This is an 8 ply drum. 6 inner plies of Mahogany with 2 outer plies of Maple. The tuning range on this drum goes from big and boomy all the way to tight and punchy. It sounds great at either end of the spectrum and everywhere in between. For their Reference Pure line of drums Pearl uses the same combinations of Birch, Maple and Mahogany as the original Reference line but the plies are thinner. This produces an amazing sounding (better than the original Reference drum line IMHO), light weight drum with a broad tuning range and a sweet spot the size of Texas.
