Old hand-carved with amazing beautiful voodoo veve-style double snakes design, authentic Haitian drum in excellent, perfectly-playable condition. I bought this drum in San Francisco from a visiting Haitian master drummer (lead in an ensemble for Haitian dance workshops) from New York about 10 years ago (after he played several performances using it). Sounds superb (looks like he re-headed it perfectly). Has been in storage since then, and not used. It needs to get back out in the world to do its work with a serious Haitian musician. This is, in my opinion, a sacred drum, and I prefer to sell it to someone who has respect for, and is working within the tradition. Approx. 32" high. See photos.
