You won't see these come up for sale often.  This is the rarest (earliest?) Sola Colorsound Tonebender which came in a number of different looks and it comes Complete with an even rarer ( very tatty but period) box. The pedal dates from 1973 I believe. The date stamp is on the inside but looks to me to be either 1973 or 1975 (see photo). This is from my private collection.  The circuit board is unmolested but you can see that there has been a repair to the battery snap cable. It's not a great job and you'll probably want to get that redone nice and tidy. It doesn't affect the pedal though and it works just great as it is.  The effect goes from smooth Isley bros 'summer breeze' type sustain through Santana all the way to metal  It even has the removeable battery cover....they're hardly ever present !  As you'd expect with a vintage well used pedal of this age, the condition of the finish is scratched and the underside black paint is chipped off in places (see photos). I've tested the pedal.....the on/off stomp switch works as it should with no issues but all 3 pots (which are original) are scratchy and could do with a good electronic lube/spray. Any questions please ask
