Up for sale is this fine 2002 Gibson Les Paul Standard in Vintage Cherry Heritage Burst. I'm the original owner, and it's been my baby since I bought it in 2002. I've taken very good care of this amazing instrument. I would say it's in very good to excellent condition. It weighs in at 9.4 lbs. The original case is in good to very good condition. There are a few small cosmetic things: some very minor light scratches on the back of the body and head stock from playing, a tiny ding on the edge of the head stock, and a tiny blemish on the back of the neck that doesn't go through the clear coat (see photos). Aside from that this baby is in perfect condition! This is a truly beautiful guitar that plays and sounds like a dream. 2002 Standards are held in high esteem among Les Paul enthusiasts. See the gear pages and the Les Paul Forum. I have had some modifications professionally made on this guitar at Rainbow Music in Grand Rapids, MI, all of which can be reversed with no impact on the original specs and condition of the guitar. First, I've had nickel Grover tuning heads installed (a $60 value). I'll include the original Gibson Deluxe tuners. Second, I've switched out the original Burst Bucker Pro pickups for the wonderful Whole Lotta Humbucker set by Seymour Duncan (a $200 value). I'll include the original BB Pros. Third, and lastly, I had the Jimmy Page wiring system installed so all four knobs are push-pull, giving you tons of tonal options to mix and match your pickup configurations. I was going for the Jimmy Page sound, can you tell? :) All of these mods had no impact on the structural or cosmetic integrity of the guitar and can be easily reversed. This beautiful guitar was my baby for many years, but now it's time to pass it on to another guitar player. Let me know if you have any questions. Make an offer! Thanks for looking!
