LunaDrum is a hand crafted instrument from steel tongue drum family, called as well hank drum, tank drum or hapi drum. Instruments are made to not be only playable and beautifully tuned. They need to be in a full harmony with player. This doesn't mean that you have to be a musician. Phenomenon of LunaDrums lays in it's scales and frequencies. You can play with single notes, combine them, create simple or more complicated rhythms. Everything will sound just perfect, because LunaDrums doesn't have any false notes. With every combination you will achieve harmony.LunaDrum Professional (2nd generation) is a model dedicated for those who are looking for something special.
In our improved model we managed to fit as many as 12 notes. Most of them consist fundamental note + octave, giving unique overtone sound. Comparing to our 1st Gen, the new series of LunaDrum Professional 2nd Gen. is slightly smaller and much lighter than it's predecessor and has one note more. Central note has now flat shape and extra overtone (check photos above).
We created a hybrid of steel tongue drum technology and handpan shape and tuning.Now you can have durability of steel tongues and harmonies of a handpan!Tuning
For the moment LunaDrum Professional 2nd gen can be tuned in one of the following scales:
North Sea D E F# G B C# D E F# G B C#
Phrygian Dominant (Spanish Flamenco scale) E, F, G#, B, D, E, F, G#, A, B, D, E
Celtic Minor Eb, F, G#, Bb, C, C#, Eb, F, G#, Bb, C, Eb
