In 2007 Fender launched the Joe Strummer model Fender Telecaster, and in a short space of time it’s already become a future classic. Designed in cooperation with the Strummer estate, the guitar has a “Revolution Rock” engraved neck plate, and a highly distressed “road-worn” treatment that emulates the worn-to-the-wood layers or grey auto primer and flat black spray that Strummer famously used. Tonally it’s easy to conjure up those famous Clash tones, from biting rock to the punk meets ska sound. The guitar looks and feels great with a comfortable neck and low, easy action. The guitar comes with the highly desirable, limited edition art customisation kit that includes Strummer-inspired stencils, stickers and graphics that were only available with the first 1500 guitars produced.
