A 1964 National Resoglas Newport 88 Map Guitar with the Original Map shaped Hardshell Case.
This 1964 beauty has hardly been played over the years. The Black Resoglas, (Fiberglass), finish on the front looks awesome and check out the White National Headstock...Beautiful....The guitar still has its original foil National date sticker on the back of the headstock. It identifies it as a 1964 thru 1968 by the label, but this model was only offered one year in 1964 thru 1966...I am calling this one a 1964 but its one of those years...This cool National Guitar is original from top to bottom. They used very high quality parts back then. It has the original double line Kluson Deluxe Tuners with Butterfly Tuner Buttons, Valco made Single coil pickups with individual pole piece adjustments, pickguard, knobs, nut, Whammy and even the original whammy bar...everything on this guitar is original.
It comes with the shown original Hardshell Map shaped case. If this guitar didn't have the original case, good luck finding one...they are super rare. If you could find one, it would sell for around $400.
Note: I had this guitar sitting in my shop on a stand and it rubbed some of the finish off the back in 2 spots. there are also some light scratches on the back from playing.
