Old and beautiful violin. It has double purfling and is a copy of Maggini. It has been professionally set up with pirastro tonica strings. It has had a piece inset into the peg box which I have shown. It is in very good condition and well over 100 years old I would think. Tone is powerful and bright. The back is in 2 pieces. I would guess that it is French. The bow is I think Brazil wood but hair and stick are in good condition.
