Description

1978 Fender TelecasterSweet guitar. Natural finish nicely worn. It currently has Di Marzio pickups installed - I'm not sure why. The original pickups are present (see note) and they measure correctly. They are pictured in the case photo. It sounds just like it should so I had no desire to put the originals back in. The pots have been replaced - as far as I know all the hardware is original and looks it - except for one tuning key that was replaced with a genuine Fender part. The bridge cover could be a replacement - its very clean - these things usually come off and go in the case.  The bridge is level and smooth for right hand palm muting - no sharp edges there. There is some fret wear as you'd expect from an original 40 year old guitar. None of the strings buzz at all though.  The strings ring true in the open position where most of the wear is located.  String bends to not fret out anywhere as far as I can tell. The case is not original and is a new condition tweed case.NOTE:  The original pickups will be included in this auction IF the selling price goes over $1750.I've shipped a lot of guitars and have a box ready to go.  Check my feedback - you'll get exactly what's described.  This is a world class Tele ready to go!!  Happy to answer any questions.  Sounds just like the tele used in the song "Crazy Little Thing Called Love".  Yes, he used an actual telecaster in that song and not his custom Red guitar.
