This is a lovely example of a Model 1 Redmond, the transparent red finish over the swamp ash body is stunning as the pattern of the grain shines through. The Redmond series were the top of the range USA made Floyd Rose guitars released in the early 2000's with a £2K price tag. They came with the revolutionary Speedloader bridge which became their Achilles heel when the strings went out of production a few years later. They do crop up on eBay though, I recently got 4 sets of 9's from Germany, there is a new set fitted and I will include another three also. The Floyd Rose website says the strings are going back into production but no sign yet. Consequently these guitars can now be had for a fraction of their original price. They are great guitars, Floyd Rose said his remit, other than the obvious Speedloader bridge, was to create the best neck he could. The result is a fairly slim neck with a 12" radius but with a Fender type width, not wide like a shredder. They are great playing instruments, well made and designed. The Model 1 has three Vintage Gold single coil pickups with a RW/RP middle for noise cancelling in the 2 and 4 positions. This gives a Strat like setup but the bridge has a bit of extra poke and is pretty good at rock riffing, see link below to a demo I made of YouTube to get an idea. Overall in great condition except for one unfortunate paint chip on the back as shown and a couple of small ones on the edge of the headstock. Comes in a top spec Fender hard case with three spare sets of strings, Dunlop strap locks and full Speedloader instructions. https://youtu.be/VWzQh79umKc
