Here we have a 2016 Gibson 1938 SJ-200 Reissue with rosewood back and sides! The Gibson SJ-200 was originally introduced as a production model in 1938. It immediately became a favorite among country artists at the time. Over time it has become one of the most well-recognized guitars in the world. The pre-WWII examples are considered to be the holy grail of Gibson acoustics. This guitar is a reissue of the original 1938 SJ-200, and it represents the original quite well! I used to own a pre-WWII Gibson SJ-200. This guitar is actually an excellent recreation of the original, both visually and tonally. The originals are revered for their volume, bass response, and top-notch build quality. This one sounds very similar to my pre-war example, and I'd put it up against the original any time! This guitar also features an Adirondack Spruce top with a flamed maple neck. The guitar is in absolute mint condition. Included with the guitar is the original hardshell case and all case candy.
