The Pogo has been one of the most popular instruments made by HiGuitarsUK. A good proportion have been purchased by semi-professional musicians and professional club players and this should give a good indication of what is on offer here. This is one of the last few old spec models and is offered at a clearance price to make way for a new version.
The Pogo has been designed as a workhorse guitar which is also aesthetically attractive and sounds great. It has the advantages of being relatively light in weight and has a slightly smaller body (approx 286mm across and 32mm deep, face to back). It's also very wallet friendly compared with most quality electrics.
The Pogo II has a 25.5" (648mm) scale length, with a total length of approx 1.0m.
This particular guitar has a solid body (total guitar weight approx 3.03kg/6lb,11oz) with a hand-applied satin oil finish (oil finishes are generally reserved for the higher end of the handcrafted market).The medium/slim glued neck is maple with a rosewood fingerboard and has a bone top nut.
Pick-up duties are performed by two Rockfield humbuckers. These are the hotter than vintage variations.
