Gibson Gary Rossington "Freebird" SGAged by Tom MurphyHere's my beautiful Rossington SG. Its a direct replica of Gary's famous "Freebird" SG.............Sadly i made myself a deal recently, that i'd only keep the guitars that i actually use on a regular basis, and due to this guitars value and exclusivity....... i don't!If you're looking at this and considering it, you're probably(definitely!) a BIG Skynyrd fan and know all about the guitar so i won't bore you with the details.... you already know them.The last picture shows me when i met Gary at a Skynyrd gig in Manchester on the 4th June 2012. Such a nice guy and he signed it for me to.The other thing of curiosity about this one, is that the guy i bought it from in the States was called Michael Gibson(see the letter and photo in the pic with the CS certificate) and is a cousin of the pilot(Walter "Mac" McCreary) of the plane that killed RonnieVZ and Steve Gaines etc in 1977.The guitar is in perfect condition - and by that i mean that the aging seen is that done by the factory........ not me or the previous owner. I have owned it for the past 5 years and Michael had it from new.The best thing about this guitar, if you're going to play it!!...... is it weighs in at a pinch over 8 pounds, which means the headstock doesnt dip in typical SG fashion(which drives me mad).It is all original & comes with its original "Historic" Custom Shop case, certificate, trem arm and candy.Email max.cottamguitars@sky.com for further info or call 07803 940252Collection or viewing available near Manchester.
