This features the aptly titled and awesome looking orange and purple "Scooby Doo" graphics, and along with the true Sola Sound MK IV and Yellow Tone Benders, the best looking IMHO.
This is the one....stupidly impossible to find, only made in 1973, and most likely for only part of that year.... I have only seen one other in over 20 years of buying/selling vintage effects. For a little perspective, when you see/hear the hype-monging claims of "less than 100 Ludwig Phase II synths were made", and "survived/surviving" is also used in the description, how is it then that I have seen at least 30 or more, and have owned no less than 6 of them(3 at one time)...no, sorry crunch those numbers all you want, that just doesn't float....Mutron Flanger, Colorsound Dipthonizer(unless it's a chrome one), even the Holy Grail EMS Synthi Hi Fli(I have two and have owned 4 others), while rare are not even on the same level.... ....I'm talking Frogg Compusound(those only 100 or less were actually made), Colorsound Wah Wah Supremo, Electro Harmonix Echo 600/rack mount Guitar Synthesizer rare ;)I might accurately speculate that easily less than 100 of these were made, but more likely since Macari's(birthplace of all things Sola Sound/ Colorsound), which doesn't even have one of these in their impressive historic/archival collection, and was only ever and still is a small scale production company(compared to say EH,Ibanez, or Roland for example), probably made less than 50 of these as this was in the heart of the pedal craze with new things constantly changing, new models coming out, response to demand, short runs, etc, etc. It is of course a wonderfully vintage, bass blowing, raging fuzz monster that just sounds great...I say bass blowing because this thing has a huge bottom end, yet with some pseudo octavia upper treble fuzz sonic artifacts mixed in to balanced it all out, depending on where you set the tone knob which has tons of swing and tonal variation. It features a quad of BC 349B that help create the monsterous fuzz mayhem this silicon box puts out by the boatload. Please don't snooze on this truly rare opportunity to own a real vintage Holy Grail effect.Auction terms:No negative/Zero bidders Contact to be made within 24 hours of auction end, payment within 3 days. Shipping is a fixed $15 to the continental US, overseas to be determined at auction end.roland vox fender gibson marshall ibanez dunlop
