This my 9th cherry banjo to date. Cherry is a beautiful wood that is about as hard as maple and fills the gap between maple and walnut (if there is one). This particular banjo has a Sullivan Vintage 35 ring mated to a Sullivan 3 ply maple rim. The laminated cherry neck has an ebony fingerboard inlaid with a modified Flying Eagle pattern. A 2-way truss rod is installed and the fingerboard is spiked at 7, 9, & 10. The neck is triple bound in white/black/white. The resonator is bound to match the neck and also features white/black/white concentric rings. The banjo is nickel plated. The gold appearance on the ring and resonator is from the the sun. The banjo is finished in nitrocellulose lacquer and buffed to a high gloss. Shipped in a TKL hard shell case. Made in the USA.
