Stunning Vintage 1980 Japanese Built Greco EG600 Super Power Cherry Burst Studio 3 Pick-Up Paul Standard. Here is a beautiful old Japanese EG600 from Greco's legendary 80's period of guitar building.  Greco made some fantastic Les Pauls in the 1980's and this is no exception. She's a Super Power, and is basically a reissue of Ace Frehley's 3-Pup Custom.  She has a 2 piece maple top with solid mahogany back. Non-chambered. Fully bound with fret-edge binding, one-piece set neck (not cheaper bolt-on) with heal cap and headstock volute, very nice dark & dense rosewood fretboard and a great looking plain top cherry sunburst finish.  Nicely aged gold hardware, bound open book head stock with custom inlay, block fret markers, 3 Greco U-1000 pickups which sound absolutely killer, with original wiring and what look like PIO caps. Cherry sunburst finish on body top, back, sides and neck, body is bound on the top and on the back, weight is a not too bad 9.4Ib (most I have had in the past have gone well over 10 Ib) The selector switch does bridge/bridge and neck out of phase / and neck pickup. She has all the vintage mojo you could ever want. Of course she's been played and looks all the better for it imo. She has some wonderful natural relicing. Especially the aged triple cream U-1000’s and pickguard which have turned yellow.  The metal gold hardware has also aged to a nice dull finish whilst keeping some if the original gold look. She has no structural or electrical issues. Like I said she as plenty of cool playwear, dings, scratches, paint chips etc but importantly absolutely no breaks or repairs. The neck is dead straight. Plenty of life in the frets. Truss rod turning. She could probably use a set up to suit. Due to time constraints it’s something I just don’t get a chance to do atm. No gig bag but she will come very well protected bubble wrapped in a padded purpose designed guitar shipping box. The cost of importing something like this from Japan now with the £ so low would be pretty high. Don't miss it, once she's gone she's gone.
