The Akdeniz family has 3 brother: Rifat, Chihan and (well famous) Chetin. Together they assemble a uniuqe and wonderfull world in the music scene of Istanbul. Far from the city center, in the subburbs of the huge metropolin city, a small rottening sign is saying: Akdeniz Saz Evi. You are walking up the stairs and smelling the fresh smell of chopped wood. The best slices of wood are arriving here from all over Turkey, Anatolya in specific. The job division is very clear: Rifat and Chian are building the instruments, and Chetin – plays, while plays is an understatement. Chetin (Cetin Akdeniz in turkish) is one of the most influencing musicians of nowdays. Playing in over 400 discs, wrote dosens of pieces and exited Turkey with his gentle-melancolic playing.
