General Preamble!
So I'm going to say a couple of things before I cut and paste the product info....This Godin guitar is simply stunning. One of few North American brands still made in North America!! When I picked it up for the first time, it felt like the most well constructed guitar I'd ever held (I have Gibsons and the like.). The playability, sustain, feel of the neck and solid body construction are first class. The hardware is simply brill and tuning remains rock solid. Then there's the beautiful flamed finish. The neck has a non-gloss natural satin finish, adding to the feel and playability.
 
Plug this in "non-synth"and you're going to feel you're playing a top knotch "regular" electric guitar. Then plug in the GR-55 synth and something amazing happens - you quickly realise that the very low synth latency and incredible reliability of the pickup leaves you feeling like you are playing the real synth instrument. Play a few jazz chords through a vibe or piano sound and it's like all of a sudden you're a keyboard player. Just so cool, much fun and definitely expands the range of interest for audiences if you gig. The xtSA delivers big time electric sounds via the Godin humbucker-single-humbucker pickup configuration and thanks to a special 5-way switch setup extra meaty humbucker tones co-exist with glassy split-coil sounds in the second and forth position. Turn down the electric output and raise the volume on the RMC transducer saddles and the xtSA becomes an incredibly authentic-sounding ‘acoustic’ guitar. The acoustic voice of the xtSA is enhanced by an onboard preamp with a three-way graphic EQ.
