"Dan Smith" era 1982 Stratocaster. Black with Maple fingerboard. Comes with original case & tremelo arm. The guitar is an honest well used instrument that has seen plenty of gigs over the last 34 years. There is fretwear as to be expected but it is at least even. A few great things about the guitar are: 1 - The body weight. It is very light for the era. The body contours are more exagerated than the 'bloated' curves of most late 70's early 80's Standard models. I don't have a digital scale to hand but I would be surprised if it weighs more than 8lbs. 2 - The neck is a lovely full but not big 'C' shape. Not thin & skinny like some were from that time. 3 - The original tremelo is not loose & it works very smoothly.Yes there is plenty of buckle rash front & back but the glossy black body colour disguises this very well. It is hard to see them from more than a few feet away. The neck has some finish coming off the top of the head stock but nothing alarming or that might hinder playing. Tuners work well & operate smoothly. The case has good working latches but the outer plastic has warped a bit which is usual plus the straps holding the lid have slipped so the lid now lies flat which again is pretty common. A great guitar that is now vintage - the prices on these have started to rise as the 1982 Standard model is now becomming more desirable.
