Those guys at Gibson during the early post-WW2 days certainly knew how to make quality guitars.  This one is no exception.  This guitar, like many Gibsons of the era, is very resonant for a laminate archtop.  The build quality is extremely high and the playability is amazing. The neck is dead straight, allowing a low set action with all notes ringing out clearly with no buzzes. The early P90 pickup has the punch they are known for.  There are very few defects for a guitar that is almost 70 year old. The finish has the usual mild checking and there are a few small dings, as seen in the photos.  The original pickguard, including bracket and screws, is also included, but has been left off of the guitar because it has degraded somewhat and the neck mounting hole is gone.  On top of the guitar being 100% original, the original Lifton hardshell case is included. These most often sold with the much cheaper chipboard case, as cases were purchased separately. It's very unusual to find an ES-150 with an original hardshell case. An even bigger bonus included with this one is an original 1949 Gibson catalog which is also in excellent condition.
