For sale by auction with no reserve is my Fender Stratocaster 25th Anniversary guitar outfit serial no. 253737. One owner from new, bought in 1980, this limited edition American built Stratocaster is a great player and all original. The specially wound pick-ups on a solid ash body give a great powerful sound and warm rich Fender tones. This celebratory model guitar is a heavy weight at over 9 kilos due to the solid ash body and comes with the original hard case. It has been well looked after during the 36 years I have owned it but obviously has some cosmetic wear. The original silver body colour has faded to a shade of gold/grey and the maple neck has darkened with age. There is wear down to the ash wood on the front and rear edge of the body as shown in the photos. The original volume and tone controls have a temporary circular black sticky back paper covering to block out the words 'volume' and 'tone' on the dials, this is a cosmetic addition to match the scratch plate and easily removed. There are signs of rust on the screw heads holding the scratch plate in place. The metal bridge blocks can be covered using the original bridge cover supplied in the case. There is a small blemish on the edge of the neck (top E) between the first and second fret visible in the photo which doesn't effect play ability. The neck has the original frets with signs of wear. The case has a corner damaged but still holds the guitar safely inside when in transport although the internal casing protection is loose and needs gluing back into place. The tremolo arm has a slack screw fit as the thread has worn but it still works O.K. She is wearing Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings and has an all over coating of lemon oil. Priced to sell, this vintage guitar is a Fantastic Bargain ! Sudden illness forces quick sale of the instrument so make that bid now. Please note that the actual location of the instrument is France hence the use of international tracked post for your peace of mind. Happy Bidding
