With Gretsch power comes Gretsch responsibility. This is an epic drum that I wish I wasn't selling. Circa 1980s/90s (I'm not sure) bop floor tom: 14x14" in natural maple. Sounds and looks amazing. Made in USA like Gretsch should be, IMO. Edges look excellent and feel sharp. Chrome, to me, is mostly an 8ish out of 10. Shiny and beautiful lugs, rims, and diamond brackets. Rims sound awesome as expected. No visible rust. There are numerous minor dings and scratches. Finish overall looks great. Silver sealer is good with a few flaws, mostly related to the dowel-filled holes. Grey paper tag is intact and clear but peeling in one corner. Tone controls and Pratt mufflers were removed (and their holes filled with dowels) by a previous owner; I believe it was used in a studio. This drum has been well cared for and kept in a case. It has shared the stage with members of some of the world's greatest rock and reggae artists. Of course it gets comments. NO legs. Tensioning rods appear not to be original. Used coated Ambassador on top and Classic Clear Aquarian on bottom. This drum feels so good with that head combo; very tunable. Please ask any and all relevant questions before purchasing.
