Cygnus with carved top and back thin is an extremely fun guitar. We love how resonant and clear the all maple carved top and back guitars have been and is the roots to why this guitar is so great. The double carve provides a nice resonant feature. The maple provides a great filter to keep the resonating notes clear and clean, allowing the body to really ring out and in combination with the five piece high sustain maple and ebony neck really allow the body to get all the notes and project them with clear harmonic resonance and keeps that ring sustaining. The finish is extremely durable and on this guitar and is a custom blend of nitro and poly. The finish is not a super thick poly top coat so the thin shell takes on more characteristics of wood. As the sealer bonds and reinforces the surface of the wood and the ultra clear top coat bonds to that. All allowing to be much less thick and less tone dampening while making for a way more durable finish. Buffed to a high gloss to shine and really give good light to the depth of all the figure and for the color wash. This specific color is one of our "after image" color washes, influenced by the ocular affect of light and dark contrast as well as our Earths colors. This one turned out great and is really such an amazingly versatile color. You will see the guitar as blue, green and sometimes really deep dark and blue depending on the angle of light. In natural light you will see an overal blue green with accents of more blue or green in certain locations for some eye catching and pleasing color diversity.
