Description

Olivia's Vintage would like to present this 1950's Kay Upbeat in its original Blonde finish. It has a good playing neck with good frets. It's all original with the exception of the bridge, the nut, the knobs, and the pickguard. There is no case with this one. The bottom edge has some surface cracks, slight seam separation on the back bottom edge near the jack area, and some chipped finish. There are nicks + dings, 2 extra strap button screw holes, extra pickguard screw holes, finish checking, and other cosmetic wear. Despite its many cosmetic issues, this vintage Kay archtop remains structurally sound. All electronics work, but the pickup is not working properly as it sounds too trebly, the tone control functions like a volume control, and the pickup has no reading on the ohms meter.
