Real Ebony fretboard, jumbo frets, Plex'd, Gibson Custom Shop hardware and tuners (recently added), Gibson Custom Shop pickups (recently added) and custom shop adornments - just has the Epiphone name at the top of the headstock. Epiphone and Mr. Les Paul Epiphone’s long friendship with Mr. Les Paul dates back to the 1940s when Les, working after-hours at the original Epiphone factory in Manhattan, created one of the world’s first solid body electric guitars which he nicknamed “The Log”. It wasn’t long before “The Log” evolved into the legendary Les Paul. Throughout his life, Les continued to work closely with Epiphone reviewing new products and offering suggestions. “They are damn fine instruments, I swear by them!” said Les. The Epiphone Ltd. Ed.
