Cornet Adolphe Sax fabriqué en 1867.
Ce modèle a la particularité d'être équipé de tubes supplémentaires (Brevet Sax numéro 39371 de Janvier 1859), les capuchons qui sont au dessous des pistons ne sont pas percés pour favoriser la compression et éviter de laisser entrer la poussière. Ces tubes supplémentaires permettent d'éviter que l'air bloqué en bas des pistons les empêche de descendre facilement.
Il a une bonne compression, j'entends un pop quand j'enlève chaque coulisse et il joue bien. Les pistons et les coulisses fonctionnent. Il joue à 440 hertz en tirant un peu la coulisse d'accord. Il a des petits coups, des rayures et des traces de débosselage sur le pavillon. A un endroit on peut voir la lumière à travers deux des lettres mais il n'y a aucune fissure autour (voir photos).Vendu avec une embouchure. Vintage Adolphe Sax cornet made in 1867.
This particular model has additional tubing (Sax brevet number 39371 of January 1859), the valves undercap has no hole to avoid dust and improve compression and these tubing avoid air compression to block the air under the valves when you play.
It still has a good compression, i hear a pop when i remove the slides and it's a good player. All slides and valves moves freely. Low pitch, you can play it at 440hz just pulling the tuning slide because the pitch used in France during the 19th century (435hz) is very close to 440hz.
It has dents, scratches, dent removal prints on the bell and you can see the light through two letters of the marking but there is no crack around these letters (see pictures).
Sold with a mouthpiece.
