Description
Country/Region of Manufacture: United States

Here’s a winner all ‘round! Big neck, lightweight (7.5lbs) beast of a guitar with a 1950 Fender lapsteel pickup (now with a baseplate conversion), jack cup, caps & knobs. The CTS pots are coded 137937 and date from the 37th week of 1949. The neck feels like about 1” all the way down and has some very authentic faux wear and what feels like 6105 frets dressed down a tad… plays great! Correct "F" decal. The body is reputed to be a Guitar Mill body (with a neck pickup route) that has a cool finish that looks like your big brother stripped it and finished it in the 60s, rather than trying to replicate a proper original 50s finish – it totally “works” here. The grain is nice and the wood is ash. The colour on the front pic is the most accurate... the back came out a little dark. All the new parts are very good replica parts. The pickguard looks like a 50s exactly with perfect wear! The guitar is wired like a typical Esquire with the tone control on the middle, straight through on the bridge, and yer jazz tone on the neck position. The 6.45k 1950 pickup is a screamer! Comes with a gig bag. You can have a real 1959 tweed case that’s cosmetically a bit ugly and has been over-sprayed – but is structurally great – for an extra $750 if it floats your boat. Shipping will be $99 in North America. No Duty Charges to USA or Canada. Overseas buyers can get a shipping quote IF you win (and Duty Charges may be applicable in Europe, Asia, etc.)
