1973-1974 Gibson SG. This one started off with a Bigsby tremolo system, and like many SGs I've seen from this era, the tremolo was removed and replaced with a stop tailpiece. The repair work looks pretty good, it's only when you get up close that you could even notice. Otherwise, the guitar has quite a few dings and scratches, the finish is starting to wear off on the upper bout of the body a little. There is a ding to the top of the headstock and a few dings on the body (please see pics).
There are NO cracks anywhere, NO headstock repair. The neck looks straight. The frets are in good condition and do not have any dents.
The tuners have been replaced with Sperzel locking tuners, and at one point I was going to replace them with stock Gibson tuners, but I've actually found that they are great - restringing is fast, and they help to keep the guitar in tune much better than the stock tuners.
The intonation is great all up and down the neck, the action is low with no dead spots or buzzes and it plays really nicely. The pickups and electronics are 100% stock and the guitar sounds GREAT. the classic SG sound, it has thickness and bite at the same time.
It comes with a VERY heavy duty Jan Al flight case, which has some cosmetic issues, a few stickers on it... but protects the guitar very well. The guitar will be shipped to you in this flight case, with an address label on the case, but no outer box.
As this is a vintage guitar, with numerous scratches and scrapes from it's 40 years of action, it will be sold as-is, so please check pics. The sound and playability is exactly as I've described but feel free to ask any Q's!
If shipping turns out to be any less, I will refund the difference after shipping.
