Monington & Weston Mid Century Art-Case Piano
Monington & Weston upright piano circa 1958. Stunning two-tone design in teak and rosewood. Late 1950s Mid Century Modern styling with straight, clean lines.This is a very rare and stylish piano from Monington & Weston of London. It's a top quality British built instrument, overstrung & underdamped with a Schwander action. The piano plays beautifully and sounds superb with a nice mellow tone and would be ideal for home or studio use. It's been well maintained and tuned regularly, last tuned in October 2016. There are a few minor marks on the case as you'd expect, (it is almost 60 years old!), the front corners have been repaired at sometime in the past but as you can see from the photos it still looks amazing.You are very welcome to come and view/play the piano for yourself, just contact me below to make arrangements. You won't be disappointed!You can come and collect the piano yourself if you like but if that's not possible then I may be happy to deliver it for you myself if you're happy to cover the cost of my fuel.
