This is something very special! Legendary late sixties Rosewood Telecaster revised by the geniuses at Fender Japan! These are extremely rare to come by, this one won’t be around for long! The original model was made famous by George Harrison on the Beatles film “Let It Be”. Rosewood is as a dark, strong and heavy “tone” wood often used for fingerboards (by Fender, Gibson, etc.) and for acoustic guitar bridges. However, hardly any guitar is ever made using rosewood for the body! But in 1969 Fender decided to have a go and left designer Philip Kubicki to design a custom prototype for George Harrison. He loved it and used it for the whole of the Let It Be recording sessions. Fender made only a few of those Rosewood Telecasters, between 1969 and 1972, which became very desirable, and expensive, collectors' items! In 2007 Fender Custom Shop briefly reissued the guitar, at a quite expensive price tag. Made in Japan in 2014 the Telecaster on sale is in near mint condition, barely played! Basswood body with Rosewood top and back, maple neck painted black, unique gloss lacquer rosewood fretboard, Fender USA Vintage Telecaster pickups, Fender Vintage 3-barrel bridge, Schaller F-key tuners. Tons of resonance and sustain and striking looks! The model on sale is the more expensive gloss finish made for Japan domestic market. Ready for touring and recording straight away! FEATURES: 1. Stunning Maple neck with painted gloss black back and gloss rosewood fretboard, vintage 7,25’’ radius, oval shape, vintage frets without any wear and beautiful matching rosewood headstock. Schaller F-style tuners hold tuning exceptionally well. Very comfortable neck, gloss lacquer makes bending on rosewood fretboard a breeze. 2. Basswood body with stunning Rosewood top and back. Incredible depth of sounds with very pronounced lows and mids. This is not your typical whiny vintage Tele, this one has grit and growl, but cleans up very nicely with the volume knob. Thanks to the rosewood-basswood-rosewood sandwich it is also much lighter than a fully rosewood Tele. And much more affordable as well. 3. American Vintage Fender Telecaster pickups are versatile and provide you with plenty of options via the tone knob and 3-way switch. From crystal-clear rhythm parts to searing leads – these can handle anything, including plenty of gain without any problems. 4. Fender Vintage “Pat Pending” strings-thorugh-body 3 barrel bridge intonates pretty well and gives the guitar nice and solid sustain. GRAB YOURSELF ONE UNIQUE TELECASTER!
