CAPI has become world renowned for their incredible preamp designs. Featured in numerous recording magazines and online reviews (like Tape Op). These preamps easily beat out competing products that cost twice as much. Based on vintage console board circuits, these class A fully discrete analog CAPI preamps faithfully capture that huge vintage analog tone. The VP26 is a single stage preamp for microphones, direct instruments and bussing. It has features a high quality attenuator, phantom power, phase inversion, and pad. The top gain control knob is stepped (or 'notched') for easy of use and repeatability, while the attenuator is a variable trim allowing for precise adjustment.
