CTC started making TimeWarp guitars and parts for the player who wanted a vintage Fender instrument, not a licensed parts guitar that looked like a Fender and didn't want to drop 5k. They are amazing looking and sounding guitars that give you everything you want in a vintage guitar but the price. This TW56 Brownie started as a NOS condition 2014 Fender Stratocaster Road Worn 50s Reissue, and was taken to a whole new level, becoming an authentic pre CBS looking Strat with modern active electronics. The checking and player wear is authentic in its detail and looks every bit the original. The original pickups and electronics were replaced with a set of Eric Clapton Vintage Noiseless pickups and Active Boost. The routing for the Clapton boost and battery is professionally done and looks factory. The original headstock decal, which is under the finish, was also aged to look like it is above the finish, just like the original, and the serial number was removed from the headstock and is stamped into the heel of the neck. The neckplate has a repro of Brownie's 1956 serial number. The neck is straight and true and the 6105 (narrow jumbo) size frets show no wear. It plays fast and smooth, and looks and like a pre-CBS Strat, without the vintage price tag. You'll have that coveted vintage Strat you always wanted that can handle both modern and vintage tones, and can still afford to play it out. And when you do, people will ask you what year it is. The guitar was created to look vintage and there are no breaks. It's as new, and solid as the day it left the factory. It just looks, sounds and plays better now. It comes complete with a tweed hard case, as well as the case candy and tremolo arm. There's no reason to go out and buy a Custom Shop model for 4 times the price. You get everything you want for a fraction of the cost, and it's a Fender, not made of licensed parts. My Buy It Now price is fair for a guitar of this quality, but I am open to offers.
