For sale is a very cool, rare and beautiful Epiphone Coronet archtop from 1940! One of the earlier Epiphone electrics, made in Epiphone's New York factory. Serial number is 4784. Includes OHSC. Comes with a single coil in the bridge position, and a fully functioning tone and volume knob. It's still a great player with low action up and down the neck. Feels amazing in the first couple of positions and is very playable up the neck with 3/16" action at the 12th fret. See the very cool note from Al Caiola, which will be included with the purchase--he inherited it from a student of his years ago.The condition of the guitar is overall very good. There is a crack in the finish (not through the wood) on the back, and there was touchup work on the treble side of the fretboard binding which looks a bit rough. Other than minor dings here and there (this guitar is almost 80 years old... ), it looks and plays great. When I first received the guitar, the tone pot was a bit loose and I had to twist it in - no biggie. I will ship internationally but it will be expensive. Feel free to ask me any questions you'd like - will do my best to answer. I'm listing this for a great deal in hopes of a quick sale. I bought this but it's a bit too vintage for my playing style. Thank you for looking!
