This is a player's vintage SG....it plays great and sounds amazing!! But it definitely shows some wear. FROM TOP TO BOTTOM: The neck is excellent, with a few small dings on the backs side. Head-stock has some dings on outer edge. Ebony fret-board is super nice. Tuners are nice and hold in tune perfectly. The frets have normal wear mostly on the first four frets...overall they look good and there are no buzzing or dead spots...nice solid jumbo frets! Pickups and hardware show the normal pitting and wear. Body looks good with lots of small nicks and marks. There is a small crack on the very bottom back side near the control cavity (see photos) it looks like it was glued back, and it does not affect the sound or performance at all. All electronics work 100% perfectly. Basically this is well use, but not abused guitar for the 1970's...it looks the part, plays the part, and sounds the part....a great guitar. I especially like this one as the neck is pretty fat: like a 50's profile Les Paul but a bit less wide...the rounded back is very deep and thick...feels like a small baseball bat. These pickups sound amazing......very fat, very dynamic, breakup is sublime....true vintage SG sound.
