Couesnon 1964 Flugelhorn excellent preserved cond. w/ case & mouthpiece
Estimated price for orientation: 1 699 $
Category: Other Vintage Brass
Class:
Description Brand: Couesnon Exact Year: 1964 Finish: Silver-Plated Country/Region of Manufacture: France Skill Level: Professional
Picked this flugelhorn up from an elderly gentleman that purchased it new in France in 1964. He was in military and only used it lightly. The finish is in excellent condition only very small nicks in the horn. It plays dark just like a qouesnon should sound like and in my opinion the best horn I have ever played. Please view photos to see the beautiful condition of the horn. Valve pistons show very little wear. This horn is ready to play. The only thing needed is a tune up and valve enlignment. Don't think it has ever been done. It must have sat in case for many years. The valves move smooth and fast. The first piston is a bit tight when putting back in at top of valve guide after oiling but once in plays perfectly. It just needs a valve enlignment and new springs to be in original condition. Comes with original case and original qouesnon mouthpiece. Has a French taper so mouthpiece fits perfectly. I am also including custom bottom valve medium heavy valve caps that are custom for qouesnon. The middle cap is a bit tight and can be adjusted by a tech. I feel this plays as good as a monopoly model and the price is much better.
