Please note that shipping will have to be calculated based on where it's going and the cost to have it crated - this is not something that can get packed into a box and get sent off in a UPS truck! The Ebay shipping calculator will not be anywhere close to right so plese bear that in mind.I am selling this for a friend, I really am very unfamiliar with it so I will try to do my best.... I will find some sounds and transfer onto floppy disk so I can fiddle with it and learn more.If you're looking at this, likely you know what it is already - a Waldorf Wave wavetable synth. it comes with a manual and a 220v power cord and a boot disk, possibly some sound disks if i'm successful in getting some sounds on disk.this was the absolute money-is-no-object top of the line synthesizer that Waldorf made in the early 90's. It nearly put Waldorf out of business and they lost money on every one of the roughly 200 they sold.
It is considered by many to be the pinnacle of hybrid digital & analog synthesis, using wavetables for complex oscillator generation and Curtis and SSM chips for analog filtering and envelope control.here is more detailed information:this is a lot more complex than something like a Juno 106 or similar, and my programming skills are not nearly up to par to generate much in the way of mind-blowing sounds.these links to various YouTube demos can do a much better job at showing the potential of the Wave than i could, most of these are pretty amazing sonically:

this Wave does seem to work fully to the extent that i am able to figure it out, but has some minor condition issues. The Stabillus gas shocks don't hold up the panel anymore, the Nextel blue paint has chips in various places (pretty typical for a lot of Waves),
the wooden side blocks are scratched up, and a few of the rotary encoders are a bit wobbly (but they work). one white key has a piece missing underneath that does not affect play at all. i have tried to show all in the pictures.the LCD backlight has been replaced and the screen looks good. i replaced the internal battery a little while back the synth seems to boot with no issues. floppy drive seems to work well.this Wave runs on 220V, so if you are a North American buyer you will need a step-up transformer (i got a small 500w one for $20 or $30 a couple of years ago off Ebay for another synth i had that was 220v).this synth is big (48 in. x 22in x 6in)  and heavy (my guess is 70 0r 80 lbs.)  and it will need to be crated rather than boxed to be shipped anywhere. local pickup is certainly welcome and preferred, buyers from elsewhere will have to be patient as i don't normally ship things like this and it's a bit of a headache to deal with and my current work schedule is hectic.shipping will be actual cost, and fully insured at auction value. customs and duties are the responsibility of the buyer, and bidders are strongly advised to research them before bidding. international bidders, please contact me first before bidding.this is being sold "as is" - i have tried to list it as accurately as possible, but please be advised that i cannot accept returns.thanks for looking!
On Feb-21-17 at 21:14:32 PST, seller added the following information:
due to the sheer number of questions about shipping, I have to give bidders a rough idea - i would MUCH RATHER have a local pickup than ship it, it's a tremendous PITA for me and my work does not allow me much of a window to deal with shipping so the winning bidder will have to be patient to some degree. i cannot crate the synth before the end of the auction, in the event that i have a local pickup.the crating of the Wave will be somewhere around $100 or so, and the shipping in the United States will likely be about $400 for most - this is an estimate based on a crate weighing 100 lbs and dimensions of 56in x 32in x 12in. not sure if those will be the exact dimensions but it will be close.for anyone in the UK or Europe it's likely to be $1200 or more - usually customs fees are collected up front by the shipper but please check your own country.
there is no way i can know what the laws and procedures are. the above number is estimated for London, so the rest of the UK will probably not be too far off.
i will charge actual crating and shipping, insurance and no more.I cannot vouch for what it would cost for anywhere else in Europe, or to somewhere like Australia.
you can use the same numbers i did to calculate on a site like FedEx - although it's possible to ship out via FedEx Ground/freight, I may not ship with that method. i am only using the FedEx site as a tool to determine a shipping price.
