FENDER USA 1979 Vintage Stratocaster Body - Rare Sienna Burst w/Factory Kahler!

This is a 1979 Vintage Fender Stratocaster guitar body, made in Fullerton, CA, USA. This is a rare body with a factory installed Kahler tremolo bridge. This is not a retrofit or aftermarket installation: as you can see from the picture of the rear trem cavity route, no trem claw or springs were ever installed. Although there is no visible date stamp remaining in the neck pocket, it's definitely a 1979-1981 era body. Fender only used the 3-bolt neck joint from 1971 - 1981, Kahler began making bridges in 1979, and Fender added the notch for the grounding lug in 1979. The Sienna Sunburst finish over northern ash body and the way the pickup/control cavities are routed, painted and stickered are other positive identifiers. The neck pocket is a standard Fender size and will fit any neck that has a heel with standard Fender dimensions: Fender, Warmoth, Allparts, USACG, Mighty Mite, etc. You don't have to use the locking nut with the Kahler bridge; a combination of roller or graphite nut and locking tuners will accomplish the same goal.
