Very reluctant sale but i have to downsize my guitar collection, here we have one of the best yamaha acoustic guitars ever made, it has has a few bumps & dings as can be seen in the pictures (see below for more pics) but nothing major considering it's age.i have upgraded this guitar with a bone nut, saddle (which has been hand sanded to perfection) & bridge pins because for some reason back then yamaha thought putting a plastic nut, saddle & bridge pins on such a high end guitar was somehow acceptable?, one thing to note about the bridge is there is a hairline crack in it (see pics) it was like this when i bought it and doesn't affect the sound or the use of the bridge pins, the action on this guitar is about as low as you can go without causing any buzzing or playability issues and the neck is as flat as you can get it using the truss rod without causing issues, it has been setup meticulously by me for fingerpicking playing style & for some the action may actually be too low i don't really know, even for just strumming chords i don't know why some people have such high action on their guitars but to each their own i guess, also just a note this guitar has been played allot (probably mostly by previous owner, owners) so there is some pretty deep wear on the frets particularly on the thinner strings near the 1st fret, this wear doesn't affect playability as it is setup really well.see the official yamaha brochure for more info:http://download.yamaha.com/api/asset/file/?language=en&site=usa.yamaha.com&asset_id=35827http://usa.yamaha.com/products/musical-instruments/guitars-basses/ac-guitars/l/ls400/it currently has a set of ernie ball aluminium bronze medium 13-56 on it.
