Description
Exact Year: 1903

I've decided to part with my mandolinetto. This is one of the plainer Howe-Ormes out there, but also one of the better preserved ones. It has a spruce top, mahogany back/sides and neck, and an ebony fretboard and bridge. The neck has been reset and someone has apparently added a strip of ebony to the underside of the bridge to make it taller. The mandolin currently plays very well and has a surprisingly big voice for such a tiny thing. There is one 1" crack in the fretboard, but no cracks in the body or neck. Aside from the expected finish wear and checking, there is no other damage or repairs. The mandolin comes with its original hard case, which has one replacement latch but is otherwise in great condition.
