This high quality resonite bassoon is made in the USA by Fox, one of the premier bassoon makers in the world. This instrument has standard keywork including a high D key. The pads are in great condition because we have just finished overhauling this instrument and replaced the pads in the process. It now plays cleanly and evenly up and down. This is a great starter bassoon, and because of the high quality fox design, you will find that it will play better than many lesser quality wooden ones. One standard bocal is included with the instrument. From a cosmetic perspective, the instrument is in very good condition, but the plastic body has scratching and small dings around the instrument from use over the years. The plating is in nice condition, but has spotty wear on many of the keys, especially where the fingers make contact with the metal as well as in other locations. Overall though, it has held up well and is clean and shiny throughout most of the instrument. There is a dent on the U-tube. That said, the photos speak for themselves. This instrument plays great, and looks great. The case is a New Protec case. Also included is a silk swab, seat strap, hand crutch, and reed.
