Part of the 2016 Builder Select Series, where each Fender Masterbuilder design an instrument that is supposed to represent them and their specific style of lutherie – this is the Greg Fessler 1969 Stratocaster in a Journeyman Relic Firemist Gold finish and a complementing 3-ply parchment pickguard. The ’69 Strat has a quartersawn maple neck with round-laminated rosewood fretboard, modern 9.5” fretboard radius with 21 narrow jumbo frets, and a trio of Custom Shop pickups - three hand-wound single-coil pickups carefully selected by Fessler for their classic, highly dynamic and reactive tone when used together. Also, the guitar has a special wiring which has a treble bleed circuit to maintain clarity when cleaning up via the volume knob, and a tone knob to control the bridge pickup with the second tone controlling the neck and middle pickups.Questions?
