Up for auction is a Signature Kenny Wayne Shepherd guitar that has barely been played; only a few times. Since it has been played those few times I guess I cannot say that it's new, but basically it is in mint condition and very close to new condition. Now that this guitar is not made anymore they are extremely rare and hard to find, especially at such a low price compared to what else is offered.I bought this guitar from an online store about a year ago from an online store and have only played a few times so it is in mint condition. I am very meticulous and anal with all my music gear and this piece is no exception. I see no scratches and I even don't really see hardly any swirls at all either. I have babied it the entire time, keeping it in its gig bag inside my air conditioned and heated home. During the time I have owned it I had a professional luthier do some pretty amazing and helpful upgrades to it. First off, I had a bone nut and a set of 11 to 56's) (just like Kenny's guitars) installed and it professionally intonated and adjusted for a low to medium height. In addition, I had them install an FU tone brand (amazing top quality / go online and check it out) massive brass block for huge tone and a ton of sustain just like KWS and SRV. They also professionally installed high-grade shielding within the entire cavity to help minimize any possible noise and hum!! Also, the luthier installed a ground wire to minimize any possible of electrical issues. It all works great amazing and sounds amazing! It has great medium to low action but not too low, making it so you can still dig into the string bends, just like Kenny Wayne Shepherd, SRV, etc. The neck is amazing. Super smooth. Love the compound radius!! Not too small...not too big, with a ton of sustain! The tone is amazing! It screams those rockin' blues and rock n tool tunes!!!! It comes with a new set of Earnie Ball power slinkys (specially set up for 11 to 56 for a big huge tone especially on the low end...just like Kenny Wayne has his set up / but you can always change that if desired), original kws whammy bar, gig bag, original block, paperwork shown, and even an extra set of Power Slinkys (shown in the picture) :)Ready for action! I bought this guitar from the store for $800.00 and then I put about $300.00 worth of upgrades on it, so it seems like I should be starting the bidding at least at $1100.00, especially due to the shape it's in (and the fact that most of the remaining guitars available are selling for around $1700) but I am starting the sale with a low bid. I wish a didn't need to sell it but I need the money...but hopefully it goes to a good, new home. I only ship within the continental United States.
